Narrative

The narrative for this movie revolves around a seemingly pathetic tired man, who is stuck in a dead end job that he despises. Wishing he could quit, he also has a girl friend that is cheating on him with his best friend, and is on medication he feels that he can’t live without for his anxiety disorder. However, out of the blue he is being told that he is a son of a famous assassin a, rich assassin who has just died and he should follow in his footsteps and avenge his dad.

The gunshot sounds come in when Fox (Angelina Jolie) is trying to kill a assassin in a drugstore.

The Opening


The opening titles of this movie starts off with an alarm clock ringing and then you see James MacAvoy in bed trying to get up to go to work. While we are seeing, this he is also the voice over, narrating what’s happening. This movie also has fast cuts in some areas of the film for example, when showing a car chase with the shooting going on, the purpose of fast cuts is to make the viewer want to watch the following scene, the emotion you get when watching this is excitement.
